Older Toddler Classroom

Walking into For Kids’ Sake Child Care & Learning Center’s Older Toddler Classroom is like walking into a child’s wonderland.  Our creative and enthusiastic teachers create an exciting and fun-filled experience for each child.  We understand that young children thrive on routine and learn best through hands-on experience.  At For Kids’ Sake, children are treated as individuals.  We spend a great deal of time getting to know each child and learning the little differences that make each child special.  An encompassing Circle Time gives every child a chance to participate in greeting friends, reciting numbers and letters, recognizing names and colors, and singing.  All children are encouraged to explore their environment at their own pace.  Activities such as finger painting, dancing, music, and dramatic play are all part of the daily schedule in the Older Toddler Room   

If you choose, our teachers will complete for you a “chat sheet.”  This form is summary of your child’s day including meals, naps, and diaper changes/ potty.

Schedule:

Exact times may change based on the needs of the individual class.  This schedule is intended to give parents a general view of the activities of the day.

*Classes may be combined during this time based on the number of children in attendence. If classes are combined, the staff-to-child ratio of the youngest child will apply to the entire group.

Below are a few things that your child will need when he/she becomes part of For Kids’ Sake Child Care & Learning Center's Older Toddler family.  Please make sure to label each item so that nothing is lost.

Diapers or Pull-Ups, Wipes, and Ointment (if necessary)

Crib Sheet and Blanket (we will send them home on Fridays for washing)

2 Sets of Weather-Appropriate Clothing

Underwear or more extra clothes if potty training

Security item or Lovey for snuggling at rest time

Lunch (You may opt to purchase a school lunch. See Director for details)

Smock or Big T-Shirt (for messy art projects)

For Kids' Sake is proud to offer the convenience of our own diaper program through First Quality. For a low weekly cost, we can provide diapers and wipes for your child every day. You will never worry about running out of diapers. The diaper program is a cost-effective way to reduce the number of things you have to remember every week. Please ask Sandi for details.
