Young Toddler Program Summary

Our Young Toddler Program builds upon the Infant program.  Children's day are a bit more structured, as is appropriate for their age.  Children are introduced to 'group' activities during circle time (singing songs, learning body parts, playing hand games, etc.).  

• The Young Toddler Room is generously sized to allow for 15 Young Toddlers, however we only accept 10 Young Toddlers into our program.
• We do not use play pens, except for napping.  Children are encouraged to explore their surrounding and the many age-appropriate toys kept at their level.

We accept both full time and part-time children into the program.   

Young Toddler Room Schedule

  * Classes may be combined during this period of time based on number of children in attendance during this time period.  If classes are combined the staff to child ratio of the youngest child will apply to the entire group. 

  **Notes on Outside Play:
Ø      Outside Play is weather permitting.
Ø      Outside Play schedule may be adjusted between the rooms to account for age of the children and circle time / art project activities. 
Ø      Our goal is to ensure children are outside twice a day, weather permitting.

Note: This is our spring/fall schedule.  We adjust the activity time in the summer to take advantage of the cooler hours (i.e. morning outside play is earlier) for outdoor play.  In the winter, we take the children outside if the weather permits, otherwise we arrange for larger motor activities indoors.

Sibling Discounts

We offer a 12% discount for the 2^nd child in care.  We offer a 15% discount for all subsequent children.  The discount is off older child’s tuition.

Vacation Policy

- You may take up to two unpaid weeks per year (September to September). 

-  The child must be absent from the center for the full week.
- We must be given at least two weeks advance notice.
- Your account must be current.
- We cannot offer this discount to subsidy families, by county regulations.

Chat Sheets:

Each day your child is at the center our staff will complete a "chat sheet" to help you keep in touch with your child's activities.  The chat sheet contains information about what and when your child ate, diapering, naps, mood & a summary of his/her individual activities and accomplishments.
